wiggle room
While Toogie has taught choreography, composition, and a wide range of movement styles, she is best known for creating wiggle room.
an improvisational practice rooted in breathwork and meditation, often accompanied by live music. Designed to foster somatic awareness and intuitive movement, wiggle room offers space to regulate the nervous system, release tension, and reconnect with creative flow.
wiggle room is a movement experience that invites you to shift focus from steps to sensation. You are welcome exactly as you are: curious, tired, inspired, or uncertain. Whether working with improvisation or choreography, the emphasis is on listening to your body and allowing it to guide the experience.
The practice is grounded in breath, intuitive movement, and heightened awareness. We slow down to notice what is already present—energy, emotion, and memory—and use movement as a way to reflect, release, and reset. Presence is approached as both a technical foundation and an emotional resource.
Together, we cultivate a space where structure supports freedom and movement becomes a form of research. The goal is not perfection but honesty. You will leave class more connected to yourself, more open to process, and more attuned to your own artistry.
